Peppermint is a large genus in the family Labiatae, containing about 25 - 30 species of plants, a variety of which can be used to extract peppermint oil, the following two are common:

Rumex: The scientific name is green peppermint, and its leaves and stems are the main parts used to extract peppermint oil. Extracted parts
