Podophyllotoxin:

Podophyllotoxin, also known as pudafylol, is a non-alkaloid lignan toxoid.  It is extracted from the rhizome of the podophylla.  Its ethanol solution and ointment trade name respectively for Kang Dingle and wart, can be used as an external drug for the treatment of condyloma acuminatum caused by human papillomavirus.  Podophyllotoxin and its synthetic derivatives such as etoposide and tenipside show a wide range of options for antiviral and antitumor medical applications.
