 Citronellol is a colorless, oily liquid with a fresh rose-like special aroma and a bitter taste.  There are three natural products of d-, dl- and l-l-citronellol, that is, rose alcohol (rhodinol; See this article Chemicalbook), generally referred to as citronellol, refers to d-citronellol. The   boiling point is 225 °C and the flash point is 102 °C. Soluble in ethanol and most non-volatile oils , insoluble in glycerol, insoluble in water.
